Nagole is fast emerging as citizen's preferred area because of its lush greenery.
Nagole, a suburban area of Hyderabad city is emerging as the best residential place for many as the locality is being developed commercially and residentially. Most people prefer living in Nagole as it is a pollution-free zone and is full of greenery. In the 90s, Nagole area was full of jungle and nobody dared coming to live here. Nagole Village had only 150 families and their main profession was cultivation. All families staying in the colony depended on paddy cultivation as the Nagole village was located adjacent to the famous Musi River. “The area started developing in various aspects as residential and commercial when many business companies started constructing their activities in this area. Now, Nagole has become one of the major areas in Hyderabad,” said Prakash P, a senior resident, Nagole Village. People living in the area started calling the place Nagole, as the area was full of Nalas (canals). “My forefathers said that once Nagole area was full of canals and water coming from these merged into the close by Musi River. Initially, people were calling Nala Village and gradually the name changed to Nagole,” Prakash said. After the State Government provided proper amenities like under-ground drainage system, electricity supply, road and sanitation, many realty firms chose Nagole as the destination for their business activities and started construction projects. Indu Projects Limited, one of the leading realty firms started a massive project, Indu Aranya, sprawling on a 50-acre green area. “Nagole is the best place to live since the area is developing in several aspects,” 45-year-old government employee, N Ramaswamy, said. As the Government extends the main road of Nagole, transportation facilities too also grow. The area is also famous for marble business and plenty of marble shops are located in this colony. “As many realty projects are coming up in and around Nagole area, the marble business is in great demand. All kinds of marble, granites and other construction materials are available in Nagole,” said Sanathan, Poddar Stones employee. Another landmark in the area is the Regional Transport Authority's driving test centre. The centre is witnessing huge rush as hundreds visit the centre to get permanent driving licenses and renewals of various permits. “We issue at least 250 driving licenses for four-wheeler vehicles, light, permanent, and heavy. Hundreds of visitors come from East, West, North, South and Central Zones in Hyderabad for driving test and get permanent certificates from Nagole RTA office,” said K Manikyala Rao, Motor Vehicle Inspector, Nagole RTA driving test centre.
